USSR as well as China are state capitalism. It's funny you advocate for them. Sure USSR had strong social policies, but it has nothing to do with its economical system. All the same policies can be implemented in any other form of capitalism. China does not even have any strong social policies. Actually if one is bad in China it's much worse than in 'dreaded' US. So it's double ridiculous that author uses China as a counter example.
